In 1996, Freightliner acquired the Oshkosh (previously John Deere) X-Line chassis. They are currently sold under the Freightliner name and used by coach builders such as Fleetwood and Winnebago.
Under the Freightliner brand, all XC, XCF, XCL, XCM, XCP, XCR, XCS chassis VINs begin with 4UZ. Generic VIN decoding websites do not give much insight into the particular configuration of the RV chassis, however Freightliner supplies convenient decoding charts, viewable below (click page up/down button to navigate)
